Executive Director
MiCHEP is seeking applications—and nominations—for its founding Executive Director, a rare opportunity to shape the future of a growing, statewide organization at a pivotal moment for higher education in prison.
The founding Executive Director will provide visionary and operational leadership during MiCHEP’s next phase of growth. Advised by the Steering Committee, the Executive Director will:
-
Lead organizational development and strategic implementation
-
Strengthen collaboration among member institutions and state and national partners
-
Advance policy and advocacy efforts at the state and national levels
-
Build sustainable funding, data, and evaluation infrastructure
-
Serve as MiCHEP’s principal spokesperson and external representative

Competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package are offered. The position is hybrid/flexible, with residence in Michigan required.
We encourage you to share this opportunity with qualified leaders in your networks —including individuals with lived experience of incarceration, who are especially encouraged to apply.
